India Privacy Notice

This India Privacy Notice supplements the Skkrum Privacy Policy for individuals in India where India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and rules brought into force under that framework apply.

Data Fiduciary and Contact

Hubroot Solutions LLC operates Skkrum and determines purposes and means of processing personal data for its direct account, website, security, billing, analytics, and service-administration activities. For business workspace data, Hubroot may also process personal data on behalf of the relevant customer organization.

Notice and Consent

Where Indian law requires consent, Skkrum will provide a clear notice describing the personal data and specified purpose and will obtain consent through an affirmative user action. Consent may be withdrawn through available account/privacy controls or by contacting Skkrum. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully completed and may prevent us from providing features that require the relevant data.

Purposes

We process personal data to create and secure accounts; provide messaging, groups, projects, tasks, files, notifications and support; process subscriptions; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain service security; comply with law; and provide optional AI functionality when requested.

Rights and Grievances

Subject to applicable Indian law and its commencement, users may request information about processing, correction, completion, updating, or erasure of personal data and may use available grievance mechanisms. Users may also nominate another individual to exercise applicable rights in circumstances recognized by law.

Security and Breach Handling

Hubroot maintains reasonable security safeguards appropriate to the Service and will address personal-data breaches in accordance with applicable Indian requirements, including notices to the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals where legally required.

Cross-Border Processing

Skkrum may process personal data outside India using cloud and service providers. Hubroot will comply with restrictions or conditions on cross-border processing that are applicable to Skkrum under Indian law.

Retention

We erase personal data when consent is withdrawn or the specified purpose is no longer served where required by applicable law, subject to legal retention obligations and legitimate security, fraud-prevention, billing, dispute, and backup requirements.

18+ Service

Skkrum is contractually limited to users aged 18 or older and is not intended for children.
